Colour correction is one of the most complex things a salon can take on. Whether it is a home kit gone wrong, banding built up from years of box colour, or a lightening job that has turned brassy, putting it right takes patience, chemistry and genuine technical skill. It is work our team specialises in, backed by more than 80 years of combined experience serving Brisbane's South East.
What colour correction involves
There is no single fix. Depending on what is already on your hair, correction can mean lifting out unwanted tone, filling in porous areas, evening out bands of different depths, or rebuilding a base before any new colour goes near it.
Sometimes it happens in one appointment. Sometimes, if the hair needs to be protected, it is staged across two or three visits. We will always tell you honestly which one you are looking at.
Honest advice, first
Every colour correction starts with a consultation and, where needed, a strand test. We will explain what is realistically achievable, how long it will take and what it will cost, before you commit to anything.
If the healthiest answer is to get you there gradually, we will say so. We would rather protect the integrity of your hair than chase a result in one sitting.
Looking after Brisbane's South East
Clients travel to our Bulimba salon from across Brisbane's South East for corrective work, and many of them arrive after a disappointing experience elsewhere. Our job is to listen properly, be straight with you and get your colour back to somewhere you love.
